Description

Producer: Domaine Genot-Boulanger   Region: Mercurey, Cote Chalonnaise, Burgundy, France Varietal: Pinot Noir Year: 2021
Winemaker Notes:
“Mercurey is one of the most important appellations in the Côte Chalonnaise. Genot-Boulanger’s parcel of Mercurey 1er Cru Sazenay was planted in 2000 and 2015. The plot is 1.81 hectare and is well situated on the slope with a full eastern exposure.  The nose has both roses and fruits, flowers abound.  It has something sensual and spring-like, it caresses olfaction! The caress continues in the mouth: a frame of super fine tannins melt delicately on the palate, spreading petals and red fruits. However, the wine also has consistency and length, and its terroir takes it far. This wine is a well-rooted seducer.”
