“This is also distinctly earthy with its fresh and cool array of red currant, dark pinot, plum and once again emphatically sauvage aromas. The attractively textured medium weight flavors possess good muscle on the punchy finale where a hint of bitter cherry appears. Like the Lavaut St. Jacques this isn’t particularly dense but it does have several very positive attributes, not the least of which is early accessibility while having the ability to reward a decade of cellar time.”
