Discover the vibrant character of our organically grown Lotis Wines 2022 Counoise, cultivated at a remarkable 2000 feet on Eagle Point Ranch in Mendocino County, California. This unique high elevation vineyard imparts distinct qualities to the wine, nurtured by mineral-rich red clay soils within the Mayacamas mountain range.

Expect a captivating sensory journey. Delicate floral aromas gracefully unfold over a core of elegant, ripe black cherry and wild raspberry notes. Subtle hints of white pepper and leather add complexity, leading to a beautifully textured palate – both deep and fleshy – courtesy of those distinctive Mendocino clay soils. The finish is intriguingly taut, offering a refreshing, almost saline minerality that lingers.

Crafted with meticulous care to preserve its natural wine expression, this Counoise underwent fermentation with 33% whole clusters using native yeasts. It enjoyed extended skin contact before pressing and aging for 10 months in neutral oak barrels. True to our minimal intervention philosophy, it was bottled unfined and unfiltered with only minimal sulfites added (12.5% alc./vol.).
