Description
J.Vignier Blanc de Blancs Champagne
Crafted in France’s prestigious Champagne region, this exceptional non-vintage expression showcases 100% Chardonnay from three revered Cramant lieux-dits—Chenelots, Marais, and Herbin. These family-owned plots, originally cultivated by winemaker Nathalie Vignier’s great-grandmother, feature 25-45 year-old vines rooted in mineral-rich chalk, marl, and clay soils—imparting remarkable depth and terroir-driven complexity.
Meticulously fermented in seasoned oak barrels, this cuvée aged gracefully on its fine lees until mid-2009 bottling. Its true distinction lies in the extraordinary 12-year tirage aging, where bottles rested undisturbed in our cellars before meticulous hand-disgorgement. Finished with a whisper of dosage (just 3g/L), it achieves sublime harmony between vibrant freshness and evolved nuance.
Expect a luminous golden pour alive with persistent bubbles. The palate unfolds layers of crisp green apple, toasted brioche, and flinty minerality, lifted by citrus zest and a creamy, lingering finish. At 12% alcohol, it balances richness with elegance—perfect for elevating celebrations or pairing with oysters, delicate seafood, or aged cheeses.
Experience small-batch artistry: This limited Champagne reflects generations of passion through extended lees contact and artisanal handling—a testament to patience yielding profound finesse.
