Maloof Wines 2021 Pinot Gris: A Taste of Oregon’s Tualatin Hills

Producer & Origin:
Crafted by the esteemed Maloof Wines, this exquisite 2021 Pinot Gris hails from the picturesque Tualatin Hills AVA within Oregon’s renowned Willamette Valley. A region celebrated for its ideal terroir, it’s the perfect backdrop for producing wines of exceptional character and complexity.

Vineyard & Farming Practices:
Sourced exclusively from the historic No Clos Radio Vineyard, these vines were planted in the early 1970s and remain own-rooted, a testament to their resilience and authenticity. The vineyard practices dry farming and organic cultivation, ensuring that every grape is nurtured naturally, without synthetic interventions. This commitment to sustainability not only benefits the environment but also enhances the wine’s purity and expression of place.

Winemaking Technique:
The fruit undergoes gentle pressing and is then fermented on the lees in 228L neutral oak barrels, a process that imparts subtle nuances without overpowering the wine’s natural flavors. Notably, there’s no battonage (lees stirring), allowing the wine to develop its unique profile organically. The result is an unfined & unfiltered Pinot Gris that showcases the true essence of the grape and its terroir.

Tasting Notes & Alcohol Content:
With a modest 12% alcohol, this Pinot Gris offers a refreshing and balanced drinking experience. Its crisp acidity and delicate fruit flavors make it an ideal companion for a variety of dishes or simply enjoyed on its own.

Limited Edition:
Only 69 cases of this exceptional vintage were produced, making it a rare find for collectors and enthusiasts alike. Don’t miss your chance to savor a piece of Oregon’s winemaking heritage.
